Children Stories

Children Stories From the Black Diaspora

Hosted by Black History Ottawa each year, Children’s Stories in the Diaspora is a tradition that has spanned over 20 years. Created by Xochi Bryan this program consists Black leaders including poets and authors reading books from Black authors on Black culture and history to Black children and youth. Children of all ages are welcome to hear a collection of stories that are empowering, inspiring and refreshing!

This event is hosted throughout the year with one virtual program and one program in-person. Stay connected to make sure you experience the event when it comes back around! We are always looking for readers and books to include! If you are interested please contact us.
